Learn to Sew ... with Me!

All my life, as I've learned to do things, I've shared my experiences with others:

💭 "Oh! You like home-baked bread? Come over! We'll make some together!"

💭 "Look at the dried-flower wreath I made! You'd like one? Come over! I'll show you how to make one!"

I get so much joy from the making, I simply have to spread it around. And it's the same with sewing.
As of this past April, my sewing studio is officially open.

In addition to general one-on-one sewing lessons, to date I've held the following classes:
  • Learn to Smock - One-day workshops covering fabric and embroidery floss choices, pleaters and pleating, basic stitches, and available resources for smocking plate designs and garment patterns. Students are required to bring small sewing scissors, as well as the tools they would normally use for hand sewing (magnifying glass, etc.) ━ that's it!
  • Advanced Smocking - one-day workshops covering advanced smocking stitches and embroidery. Students are required to bring small sewing scissors, as well as the tools they would normally use for hand sewing (magnifying glass, etc.) ━ that's it!
  • Learn to Sew the Amy Butler Weekender Travel Bag - six one-hour lessons  (http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/pdfdownloads/weekender.php). Students are required to purchase the pattern from Amy Butler Designs, as well as the fabric and notions listed in the pattern information. Students bring their own sewing machines; however, machines can be provided if required.
  • Learn to Sew the Amy Butler Ultimate Storage Bins - four one-hour lessons (http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/pdfdownloads/ultimate_storage.php). Students are required to purchase the pattern from Amy Butler Designs, as well as the fabric and notions listed in the pattern information. Students bring their own sewing machines; however, machines can be provided if required.
I hope to soon offer the following classes:
  • Learn to Sew the Grainline Studio Archer Shirt
  • Learn to Sew the Helen's Closet York Pinafore or York Pinafore Apron Expansion
Stay tuned!
